About

 LTC Laurie MacAfee, APRN

Laurie, served 22 years across the Active Duty Air Force, Active Duty Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard — including 17 years as an Army Nurse, 15 of them in a dual specialty combining medical and behavioral health care. That breadth means Laurie has treated the physical and psychological realities of service across branches, ranks, and military occupations, not just one corner of it. As a service member with 100% VA disability rating, Laurie has personally navigated the same uncertainty veterans face at the C&P exam table — and created this service around the idea of getting it right the first time. To make sure every claim's paperwork is prepared accurately, Laurie works in conjunction with a former VBA employee, and intentionally limits the number of veterans accepted at any one time so each case gets the depth of attention it deserves.

Important Notice to All Clients
This practice provides independent medical opinions and examinations only, delivered entirely by telehealth. We are not a VA-accredited attorneys, agents, or claims representiatives, and we do not prepare, file, or argue your claim on your behalf. We recommend working alongside a VA-accredited representative (often free through a VSO) for the claims process itself. We do not guarantee any specific rating, approval, or outcome. VA decisions rest solely with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Scope of Services

We currently support conditions that can be fully evaluated by telehealth, or by telehealth combined with labs, imaging, or other objective testing you obtain independently and provide to us. We do not perform in-person physical examinations and do not offer or coordinate referrals to outside examiners. If, during screening, we determine your condition requires a hands-on exam we cannot complete remotely, we will let you know so you can seek that exam through another provider before returning to us for the written opinion.
